On Walls, Paul Auster, and Donald Trump

I have a short(ish) essay over at Vol. 1 Brooklyn that aims to use Paul Auster’s writing to discuss the damage that comes with building walls (which, of course, is one of the main promises of a certain loud presidential candidate). I enjoyed writing it. Maybe you’ll enjoy reading it.

Some (new) News

A few new items have popped up recently.

One is a tiny essay I wrote called “Exoneration,” which appears in the latest issue of 5×5. It’s only one sentence long, but that sentence is far from short.

Also out are a couple of book reviews. At NC, I got to talk about Masande Ntshanga’s amazing novel, The ReactiveAnd I was so happy to review Abby Frucht and Laurie Alberts’ new, crazy tale, A Well-Made Bed, for The Northwest Review of Books.

Another piece

I have a very short story/essay/poem in the new issue of Maudlin House. It’s called “Another Box,” and you can read it right here.
